As an advocate for the human’s adventurous and creative spirit through interactive expression and communication, Shannon Wallace, CDP, CDC* is a 30-year international music, television, marketing and public policy/advocacy professional specializing in interactive music and movement workshops for those of all ages living with all stages of dementia, cognitive impairment and developmental disabilities, along with their care partners.

For the past seven years, Shannon has been providing in-person, interactive workshops in memory care, assisted and independent living communities nation-wide, as well as personal 1:1 workshops.

For the past three years, and in an initial response to the global covid-19 virus and its impact on the communities she serves, Shannon also offers interactive LIVE ONLINE workshops and ON-DEMAND videos via a growing video library from most digital devices, where you want it, and when you want it.

“We have been through unprecedented times that have opened up opportunities of international online interactions,” says Wallace. “Through music and movement, those I serve now partake in a technologically innovative and accessible way to interactively socialize, gain support, and stimulate their minds and bodies in real time. No matter the physical or mental ability or limitation, by interactively incorporating music, movement, words, mathematics, geography, history, sound, rhythm, humor and reflective conversation, my program seeks to provide a shared sense of community and teamwork, evoking endless possibilities of emotional, mental, physical and verbal responses.”
